Sikkim Surprises with Gangtok & Lachung 5 Nights

On arrival at Bagdogra Airport/ New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, our local tour representative will meet you at the specified area and transfer you to Gangtok (135 kms, approx. 4 hours drive). Gangtok is a tranquil destination with awe striking natural beauty and cleanliness. On arrival, check in at hotel and relax. Later after some rest, you can step out and take a walk in the nearby areas to take the feel of the romantic atmosphere. Later snug in your cozy bed for a relaxed sleep.

Wake up to a beautiful morning and take a fill at morning breakfast. Today we’ll go for a day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (Timing will depend on the issuance of Permit). Situated at a height of 3,780 meters with an average depth of 50 ft, the lake offers serene and breathtaking beauty with sparkling blue water. Just on the lake side, visit the Baba Mandir, temple of Lord Shiva built in memory of sepoy Harbhajan Singh. Primula flowers and other alpine plantation provide an immaculate beauty to this place. Till April it is full of snow and lay frozen. Later return back to hotel in Gangtok and retire in your cozy bed for a relaxed sleep.

Today morning enjoy the breakfast, pack your bags and check out from the hotel. Today we drive to Lachung, situated at a height of 8610 feet. (Timings will depend on the issuance of Permit) It is a long drive of around 200 kms that takes 6-7 hours to reach. It’s a beautiful drive and we pass through Phodong, Mangan, Singik Chungthang & Maltim. En route you can stop for lunch (direct payment basis). On arrival check in at hotel and relax.

Wake up to stunning views of sunrise over the snow clad peaks. Have a fill at morning breakfast and proceed for a visit to Yumthang Valley, famous for a variety of blooming Rhododendrons. Situated at a height of 11800 feet, Yumthang is the grazing ground of yaks in summer and playground of yetis in winter. After enjoying in this beautiful valley, we start our return journey. On the way back, visit the Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and leave for Gangtok. (150 kms, approx 5-6 hours drive) En route we take stops at Singhik and Mangan. If it is clear weather, you may see Khangchendzonga Range. Take majestic views of numerous snow clad mountain peaks being Mt. Pandim, Mt. Kabru, Mt. Simvo, Mt. Jopuno, Mt. Khangchendzonga and Mt. Siniolchu on a clear sky day. If time permits, we also visit Phodong Monastery on the way. On arrival check in at hotel and relax.

Today morning, laze up in your cozy bed followed by an extensive breakfast. Later check out from the hotel and transfer to Bagdogra Airport/ New Jalpaiguri Railway Station for your return/onward journey.
