Jodhpur is the second most important city of Rajasthan after Jaipur and is an important cultural center of the state. You will see the heritage of the Marwar region and will learn a great deal about the royal families and the lineage of the Jodhpur rulers in the museum which is present inside the fort. Here you will see the preserved history of the royal family of Jodhpur. You will learn a great deal about the royal lifestyle of the rulers who lived here in this sprawling fort complex. The fort also has traditional souvenir shops operated by locals and from here you can buy some leather footwear, Books, showpieces, ornaments, accessories and other home décor and gift items for your family and friends. Visit the Jaswant Thada, a cenotaph dedicated to the Maharaja Jaswant Singh of Jodhpur. This beautiful White Marble building made of traditional Rajasthani style. Here you will see the rare portraits of the erstwhile maharajas who ruled Jodhpur. Jaswant Thada is also the traditional cremation ground of the Royal family of Jodhpur.
