The fort was built in 1806 and since than many rulers have added many new buildings as a result the palaces have different architecture and styles. Visit the impressive fort and explore its beautiful palaces by climbing narrow spiral staircase and see the famous interior chambers like the Phool Mahal (flower Palace), Moti Mahal (palace of Pearls), Seesh Mahal (palace of mirrors) and the Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana (House of Money). Visit the museum and see the rich heritage of the Jodhpur’s royal family. You will also explore the Ramparts of the fort and here you will see the cannons of the Jodhpur. From the Rampart you will get a stunning panoramic view of the city. Visit the Jaswant Thada a monument dedicated to the maharaja Jaswant Singh II of Jodhpur. This monument is fully made of white marble and contains some rare portraits of the rulers of Jodhpur. This is also the traditional cremation ground of the royal family of Jodhpur.
