Our guide, Grazia, shared good information about the venues we toured, but she spent an inordinate amount of time in the Doge's Palace, going into excessive details about many paintings. This compromised the amount of time we had visiting St. Mark's Basilica.

This was the perfect introduction to Venice. Our guide Marco was interesting and provided just the right amount of information. Both the basilica and the Doges palace were well worth a visit and the gondola ride was a good experience despite a little rain. 3 hours in total.
