Plaza San Juan de Dios: This broad plaza is surrounded by cafes and dominated by the imposing neoclassical city council built around 1800 AD. You will come across several craft shops and galleries here.
Puerta de Tierra: The Earth Door Monument was constructed at the end of 1850 to serve as a tower that could send messages through optical telegraphy from the Ministry of Interior to Cadiz in almost two hours.

Catedral: The cathedral is a popular yellow – domed structure which was constructed in the 18th century. Here you can take a separate entrance to the Plaza de la Cathedral and climb the Torre de pomiente and have a panoramic view.
Playa de la Caleta: It is the most popular and crowded beach of Cadiz and is located between the two castles of the Old City.
