India

India is a unique country which is so diverse that it often perplexed visitors. This country is blessed with geographic and socio-cultural diversity. India is also an Asian might and is held in high esteem in global affairs. This country has 18 officially recognized national languages. This country has many ethnic groups and sub groups and tribes. Despite being such a diverse country, India is standing united and growing strong with each passing day. India has a rich history and a glorious past that dates back to the Indus Valley Civilization. India is a country where you can make quick transition from modern comforts to old world charm. This is a land which is such diverse that on every nook and corner you will discover something fascinating. The climate in India is highly influenced by the Monsoon. The Southwest monsoon is the more important one, as it causes rains over most parts of the country, and it lasts from June to September. It hits the west coast the most, as crossing the Western Ghats and reaching the rest of India is an uphill task for the winds. The Northeast monsoon hits the east coast between October and February, mostly in the form of occasional cyclones which cause much devastation every year. The only region that gets rains from both monsoons is Northeastern India, which consequently experiences the highest rainfall in the world. India experiences 3 main seasons – summer, rainy and winter. Summers started from Mid March and continue till early October. During this stretch rains occurred in the months of June, July and August. Winters set in Early October and drop lowest during the month of January.

Food of India

Indian Cuisine is diverse like the entire country. Indian Cuisine can be divided into five sections – namely North Indian, South Indian, East Indian, West Indian and North East Indian. Each region has its own specialties and is further sub divided in regional cuisine. The Indian Cuisine is diverse and very rewarding in taste. Indian cuisine uses lots of spices as it is generally available. India is the best place to savor Indian Cuisine.

Best Time to Visit India

The best time to visit India is in between the months of October to March. The temperature is cool as compare to the rest of the year. However, if you are planning to visit the North India during (December – January) is prepared to face intense cold climate. South and West Indian remain pleasant during the winters. In the summer season (May to September) could be trouble if you are visiting the South India. Month of June to September bring excessive rains and climate remains humid.

By Air: Best way to reach India is by Air. Regular international flights connect Indian cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmadabad and Trivandrum.
